Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Disability Support Worker to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will provide person-centred support to individuals living with disability, assisting them to achieve their goals, maintain independence, and actively participate in their community.

Working part-time, you will provide support across a variety of shifts, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required. You will build meaningful relationships with participants while supporting their daily living needs, community engagement, personal development, and overall wellbeing.

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about empowering others, values inclusion and dignity, and is committed to delivering high-quality support services in line with NDIS standards and participant goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as community access and participation, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients, promoting their independence and wellbeing
  • Collaborate with the broader care team to develop and implement tailored support plans
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company policies and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Supporting our clients towards living their best life and achieving their goals!
Skills & Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Disability Support Worker or in a similar role
  • Minimum 12 months experience in disability support or related community care roles
  • A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting individuals with mental health challenges
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to meet the unique needs of each client
  • A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable registered vehicle
  • Valid driver’s licence and comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for client transport
  • NDIS Workers Screening, Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR certification (renewed within last 12 months)
  • Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks and assist clients with mobility
  • Committed to do at least 2 sleepover shifts per week
