Community Access under the NDIS refers to supports that help participants get out into the community, take part in everyday activities, and build social connections.
Community Access provides support worker assistance to help NDIS participants engage in community, social, recreational, and civic activities. The focus is on participation, inclusion, confidence, and independence outside the home.
This support is commonly funded under Core Supports – Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation.
